My digital eyes..

So the other day I purchased a digital camera. I haven't owned a camera for years so I wasn't sure what to expect. I must say they are load s of fun. If you have a good eye and good timing you can capture some really cool images especially in NYC.

I was out and about the other day and shot some city photos...I like them hope you do to..

It's only a wallet Bobby Soup....

So Wednesday morning I was getting ready to walk out the door to head back to PA. for a few days when I realized my wallet was gone.. My first instinct was to check my bank account and come to find out someone went on a little shopping spree with my cards. So my wallet was stolen. I didn't panic really, maybe for a sec but as I called my bank and credit card companies I assessed the damage and to be honest I think I'll live. I did lose my license and SS card (yes I know you are not supposed to carry around in your wallet).
I have an idea of who did it but I don't have proof and to be honest it's not worth making a huge deal out of it. I figure I'll let karma takes it's course ( makes me wonder if I have bad karma though)..
A lot of positive things have come out of it though..I stayed in the city because one of my best friends and old roommate is coming to NY for the weekend to visit. I also had a very busy and fun day in the city today so it kinda worked out for the best..

For some a major crisis for others an inconvenience.....

The space between my ears..

Are blogs supposed to have a certain theme or can they just be random rants about anything? I guess for now I'll go with random rants since I don't have a specific topic I want to discuss. Don't you hate it when life is screaming at you to make changes but you just don't know where to begin?
My body is trying to tell me something right now. It is not happy. It likes to work. It doesn't enjoy being alone so much and to be quite honest it is in dire need off some physical affection. My mind is stopping me from getting these things. I will be working soon so that will be taken care of but my mind is holding me back from everything else. I have a very hard time of letting go and it not only is taking a toll on my love life or complete lack of , it's taking a toll on my body.
Basically I need to stop making excuses and make the necessary changes to improve my situation. I guess I like to torture myself so when things finally start going right I appreciate it more. It's not a fun way to live and it doesn't leave much room for stability.
How you learn to let go of yourself? To put others before you? I want to be able to do that. I don't mean to be so selfish it more out of survival then it is about purposefully being selfish.
I have so much to learn I just need to accept that....

Moments like this make me realize that life is not always a cliche....

Today is the first day of the rest of my life...

Feb. 2nd, 2008 Jersey City, NJ

Is anything you read on the internet real? Is everything made bigger then it really is just for a good read? Why is Britney Spears headline news? Why are stories about murders and disasters top news? I ask these questions yet I indulge in these stories, probably to forget about how much I can't stand my life right now.
I am currently unemployed, I have chosen a life of touring which means extreme amounts of downtime. I know this is my first blog post and I should start with some back story but really this blog is abut moving forward since I tend to dwell to much on the past, but to make some sense of this I'll give some details of my current situation. In March of 2007 I was laid off from my job which I was at for seven years. At the time this was a blessing since it freed up a chance for me to pursue touring and to take my relationship with my then girlfriend to the next level. That's what I had in my head at least. Suffice to say things haven't exactly gone as planned.
I've always been the type who follows his gut. As a child I always wanted to live in California, which I ended up doing for nine years. I guess you can say I'm selfish, I learned how to survive but there is more to life then just surviving.
I've been a loner pretty much my whole life. I've been in a few relationships but I either sabotage them or I fall for women who were not ready to commit to me. I've had it in my head for so long that I need to experience as much life as possible until I can settle down. Well I'm 32 now and that idea is starting to seem like a load of crap to me.

So what am I getting at?? I don't want to be alone anymore. This means I must grow up and show that I am an adult is can take care of someone other then myself.

So maybe gossip sites and tabloid news are popular because is it reminds people that other peoples' lives are just as fucked up as their own.. Kinda sad really, maybe I should stop reading those sites...
